Bono's Halftime Prayer

Last Sunday I showed a U2 clip to introduce my message. U2 worshiped with us at Oak Mountain! Or, we might even say that U2 led Oak Mountain to worship God. At halftime of the 2001 NBA finals between the LA Lakers and the Philadelphia 76'ers, NBC did a cut in to a U2 concert in Boston. I don't believe U2 does much unintentionally...the cut in was timed such that U2 was about to head into "Where the Streets Have No Name." There were 32 nations using NBC's feed...a potential viewership of 2.5 billion people. What did they see? One of the greatest rock stars on the planet get on his knees and start crying out to God: "What can I give back to God, for the blessings He's poured out on me? What can I give back to God, for the blessings He's poured out on me? I lift high the cup of salvation--as a toast to our Father....to follow through on a promise, that I made to You...from the heart" (Ps 116:12-14, The Message).
